Getting the shipping assumptions right.

Packaging scenarios and weight assumptions brought into the quotation process.

Product sourcing and supplier coordination

The requirement

A bulky product needed a realistic shipping assessment. Its unpacked dimensions could not simply be treated as its shipping carton.

What we worked through

We examined packaging references, estimated packed-weight scenarios and freight quotation responses. Unconfirmed carton measurements and carrier charging rules were kept visible rather than silently filled in.

STARTING POINT

Product dimensions only

WORKING OUTPUT

Packing scenarios and open confirmations

The project context

A clearer freight assessment identified the packing measurements and weight confirmations needed for a firm quotation.
