## Align the product before comparing the price.

Confirm the specification, materials, dimensions, finish and included accessories. Seemingly similar products can be different commercial offers. A sample reference and a written requirement help keep the comparison grounded.

## Bring the hidden assumptions into view.

Review the order quantity, minimum order, sample costs, packaging, production lead time and payment terms. Confirm which delivery term is being quoted and which party is responsible for the next handoff.

## Measure the parcel, not just the product.

Freight charges can depend on packed dimensions, gross weight, destination and the applicable service rules. Product dimensions alone may not establish the chargeable weight. Verify packing information with the supplier or warehouse before treating a freight estimate as firm.

## Compare the same scope.

A useful landed-cost comparison uses the same quantity, destination, currency, product specification and included services. Include relevant freight, duties, testing and coordination costs when they are known. Mark unknowns clearly. An estimate is not a guaranteed price or a realised saving.
