## An established buying relationship.

Australia’s Bureau of Statistics reported A$130.2 billion of merchandise and services imports from China in 2025, up 12.5% from A$115.7 billion in 2024. These are Australian dollars and include services, so the total is not directly comparable with a US-dollar goods-only import measure.

## A practical language advantage.

English-language commercial communication can help an international buyer and a China sourcing team work from the same brief. It does not remove the need for product compliance, import responsibilities or a viable landed-cost structure.

## Our view.

For buyers with a clear category and reorder potential, Australia is a useful market in which to investigate sourcing requirements. Confirm the product’s applicable standards, destination logistics and buyer economics before scaling a programme.
